As of 8 April 2014, Microsoft will no longer be supporting Windows XP. After 12 years of continuous support, there will be no more automatic updates and, most importantly, no more security updates provided for the operating system.
If you’re still using computers that run on Windows XP, you need to be aware that without Microsoft Security Essentials updates, your computers will be more exposed to security risks and viruses. This could place your valuable business data at risk.
As time passes, you will also find that application providers will begin dropping their support for Windows XP. This means that software you have installed on your Windows XP machine may stop working when it is updated, leaving you unable to gain the benefit of software updates.
So, what about your current Mobileezy installation?
Will I need redeployment?
If you are running Mobileezy on a computer currently using Windows XP, you are well advised to upgrade your computer to a later Microsoft operating system or alternatively buy a new computer. In doing this, your Mobileezy system will need to be redeployed into the new environment.
Redeployment is a technical service that is required whenever you need to move the current Mobileezy installation from one computer to another. The service usually takes around two hours and is completed by one of Anigo Systems' technical support staff. During redeployment, one of our trained support staff will back up your data file, move it to the new computer, install the latest version of Mobileezy, configure the accounting system datalink and reconnect all the handheld devices. At the end of the service, you will have Mobileezy working perfectly on your new computer. Redeployment is in addition to your Mobileezy support plan and therefore incurs a service fee.

Will Mobileezy continue to work with Windows XP?
With the end of Microsoft support for Windows XP, Anigo Systems is sure to follow by dropping Windows XP support for Mobileezy. We do not have a fixed date as yet and will continue to support the operating system for now; however, our focus will be on maintaining compatibility of Mobileezy with Windows 7 and Windows 8 desktop and server editions.
